Beautiful Bluebonnets

The wildflowers, particularly the bluebonnets, have been beautiful around here lately. Of course we weren't going to miss a photo op, so we enjoyed a warm and breezy afternoon playing in the flowers.

A couple of hams

She loves attention

My mom just recently found out that picking
bluebonnets isn't illegal. If this would have
been me as a child it would have called for
corporal punishment. She takes her old wives
tales very seriously.

All of these, yes I mean ALL, are sitting in a
pretty vase in Kinsley's room

What outing is complete without the traditional
picture of Nina. She didn't want to leave her out
and she took such care in posing her.

*** Disclaimer*** I AM HUGE
Can someone please tell me why my face, among
other things, has quadrupled in size over the past month?
The baby is the size of a pepper.

Okay, time to go

Bunny Pics

These are some of the girl's Easter pictures. I opted for these this year instead of the traditional Easter Bunny photos. I ended up spending about the same amount of $ and I didn't have to wait in line at the mall for 30min. I think they turned out pretty cute.

Go Panthers!!!

Kinsley has several friends on a soccer team this year including her best boyfriend Tristan.
So Saturday I loaded the kids up bright and early (10am is bright and early for a pregnant mom with a 2 small kids) and we headed out to the soccer fields. Tristan's mommy made Kinsley an adorable shirt to help her show her panther/Tristan pride and she was so proud to wear it.
The game was hilarious and entertaining! Most of the kids are only 3 so I got a kick out of the goalie who had his blankie tied to the goal and kept having to take breaks to kiss his mom and chase butterflies. There were meltdowns, kids who got tired and had to sit down, and a lot of confusion from the kids on where to kick the ball. Basically, everything you'd expect from a 3 year old's soccer game. Kinsley had a blast and has been begging Doug to teach her how to play soccer. Funny, how she instinctively knows not to ask me.

Good job Tristan and the rest of the Panthers! We can't wait to catch another game soon!

Watch out Samantha, I hear that when you're a soccer mom first comes the cute homemade shirts then comes the minivan!

Kinsley even got some of the team snack

Need I say more

he kept scooting down the bench

How cute are these two!

One Lucky Mama

For St. Patrick's Day my friend Sam and I had this brilliant or not so brilliant idea of taking the kids to Sea World. I'm not sure what we were thinking though because it also happened to be spring break for like the whole state of TX and the majority of them decided it would be fun to go to Sea World too. So, with a smile on our faces and our strollers as weapons we didn't let a few thousand people deter us and we ended up having a great day! Once we were back safely in our car I couldn't help but think how lucky I am, and not just because they had both passed out. I really do have some pretty special girls!

Ladies Night

Our good friends Lauren and Emma invited lil' K and I out last Friday for some much needed girl time. The destination: A fine meal at Chick fil A and then a play at the Magik Theater in San Antonio. If your local and haven't been to the theater yet I highly recommend it. The girls had a blast! It was so much fun to watch them hold hands, giggle and enjoy themselves. Thanks Lauren and Emma for the memories!

Oh Baby!

If you haven't seen me in a while then this may come as a bit of a surprise. That's right, Doug and I are expecting baby number three! My due date is September 8, 2010.

We are super excited about our new little addition and can't wait to find out the gender (mid April). Although, I'd be lying if I said we weren't a little scared about being outnumbered. Any advise from you mom's of three is greatly appreciated.

I'll go ahead and take a second to address some of the questions that have been asked over and over since we went public with our news.

  • No, we are not trying to be the next Duggar family.
  • No, I'm not having twins. We've checked twice.
  • We don't care if it's a girl or boy.
  • We think this is the last one, but we're not going to rule anything out for the future.
  • No, we're not getting a minivan.
  • By God's grace we'll survive and thrive with 3, three and under.
I'm off to bed - I've been sleeping a lot these days. I know, I better enjoy it while I can.

One

Little Leah Grace is officially 1. I feel like I keep repeating myself but I just can't believe how fast she's growing. Her little personality is showing more of itself everyday. I call her my social butterfly because she loves people, especially kids. She likes to be where the action is and always has a smile on her face. We celebrated her birthday at the house with family and friends and when I looked back at my camera I realized that I didn't take many pictures. I guess I was too busy to think about it. Here are a few that I did get.

Three

My little baby turned three back in December, I can hardly believe it. To celebrate this blessed occasion we threw, at her request, a pink and purple ladybug party. She had so much fun and the live ladybugs were a huge hit!

Sleepy Girl

Okay, so it's not my Christmas post but it's still pretty cute. Kinsley started giving up naps about 3 months ago. She still takes them some days but refuses on others. It always gets a little hairy in the afternoon on the days she doesn't nap and if she sits still for even a minute she usually falls asleep. Such was the case yesterday. I was in the kitchen (of course) and Kinsley was playing in the playroom. It got pretty quiet so I went to check on her and this is what I found.
